Rabindranath Tagore Rabindranath Tagore was the Bengali poet, writer, composer and painter. He was born in 7th may 1861 in Kolkata, and died at 7th august in 1941 in Jorasako Thakurbari at Kolkata in India. at the age of 84. His original surname was Kushari. Education of Rabindranath Tagore Most of the time he avoided the classrooms. That’s why his father appointed teachers to the house to teach him music gymnastics, anatomy, geography, history and literature. Sanskit mathematics and English was his favorite subjects. His school life spent in presidency college locally. He and his father left Kolkata in 1873 to visit lots of places of India.
